At Tether, we prioritize your privacy and the confidentiality of your group interactions. Here’s how we ensure a secure and private experience for all users:

Creating and Inviting Members to a Group

  • Private Group Creation: You can create a group exclusively for yourself and invite others to join.

  • Invitation-Only Access: Share a unique code, SMS invite, or email invite to add members. This ensures that only those you specifically invite can join your group.

  • No User Search: To further protect privacy, Tether does not offer a feature to search for other users within the app. Your interactions and group memberships remain private and secure.

Joining a Group

  • Invitation Required: You can join a group only if you receive an invitation from another user.

  • Accepting Invites: Invitations must be accepted to become part of a group, providing you with control over the groups you join.

  • No Public Directories: There are no public directories for discovering or finding groups. Group memberships are by invitation only, maintaining a high level of privacy.

Leaving a Group

  • Freedom to Leave: You have the freedom to leave any group at any time. Your decision to leave a group is respected and can be done without any restrictions.

By adhering to these principles, Tether ensures that your group activities remain private, secure, and within your control. If you have any further questions about group privacy, please reach out to our support team for assistance.
