Groups are an essential feature in Tether that helps organize users based on their roles, responsibilities, or other criteria. This guide will walk you through the steps to manage and create groups in Tether.

Accessing the Groups Management Page


1. Log In: Start by logging into your Tether account.

2. Navigate to Audience: On the left-hand sidebar, click on the “Audience” section.

3. Select Groups: Under the “Audience” section, select “Groups” to access the groups management page.

Creating a New Group

To create a new group in Tether:

1. New Group Button: Click the “New Group” button located on the right side of the groups management page.

2. Enter Group Details: Fill in the new group’s details, such as the group name and description.

3. Add Users to Group: Select the users you want to add to this group. You can search for users by name or email.

4. Save Group: Click the “Save” button to create the group and add the selected users.

Managing Existing Groups


Viewing Groups

Group List: The group list displays all existing groups. If there are no groups, the page will indicate “No groups to display.”

Search Groups: Use the search bar at the top to find specific groups by name.

Editing Group Details

1. Select Group: Click on the group you want to edit.

2. Edit Information: Modify the group’s name, description, and membership as needed.

3. Save Changes: Click the “Save” button to update the group’s information.

Adding or Removing Users from Groups

1. Select Group: Click on the group you want to modify.

2. Manage Membership: Add or remove users from the group by selecting or deselecting users.

3. Save Changes: Click the “Save” button to update the group’s membership.

Tips for Creating Effective Groups


Clear Naming Conventions: Use clear and descriptive names for your groups to make it easy for users to understand their purpose.

Purpose-Specific Groups: Create groups based on specific roles, projects, or departments to streamline communication and management.
