Custom Member Fields on Tether are a powerful tool that allows you to personalize user profiles by adding fields that are specific to your community’s needs. Whether you need to gather additional information, allow for personalized file uploads, or share specific content, Custom Member Fields provide flexibility and control over what data you collect and display on user profiles.

Key Features of Custom Member Fields

Personalization: Add fields that capture specific information relevant to your community, such as location, preferences, or other custom data points.

File Uploads: Allow members to upload files directly to their profiles, such as photos, documents, or other media.

Content Sharing: Customize fields to include links, text, or other content types that members can view or interact with.

Easy Management: Create, edit, and manage custom fields effortlessly from the Tether interface.

How to Create a Custom Field

1. Navigate to the Custom Fields Section:

• Log in to your Tether account and go to the “Content” tab on the left-hand menu.

• Select “Edit Custom Fields (Beta)” from the menu.

2. Add a New Custom Field:

• Click on the “New Custom Field” button in the upper-right corner of the Custom Fields page.

• Choose a name for your custom field and select the type of field you want to create (e.g., Text, File Upload).

3. Configure Field Settings:

• Depending on the field type, you may have additional settings to configure, such as whether the field is mandatory or optional.

• Click “Save” to create the field.

Editing or Deleting a Custom Field

Editing a Field: To edit an existing custom field, click the “Edit” button next to the field name. You can change the field’s name, type, and settings as needed.

Deleting a Field: If a field is no longer needed, you can delete it by selecting the “Edit” button and then clicking “Delete.” Be aware that deleting a field will remove it from all user profiles.

Using Custom Fields on Member Profiles

Filling Out Custom Fields: When users visit their profile, they will see the custom fields you’ve created. They can fill these out with the relevant information or upload files as required.

Viewing and Managing Data: Admins can view and manage the data collected through custom fields from the user profile management section. This allows for easy tracking and updating of member information.
